With the aim of analysing these challenges and sharing experiences among professionals, CRITERIA Médica will hold its 1st Legal and Expert Evidence Conference in the healthcare sector in Madrid on 1 October 2026, under the title:
“The importance of expert evidence under the regulation of MASC”
The conference will feature the participation of The Honourable Ms Lorena Ochoa Vizcaíno, Judge of the Civil Section of the Madrid Court of First Instance, who will address various issues of particular interest to professionals in the legal, healthcare and insurance sectors.
Key topics to be discussed include:
- The role of expert evidence within the current framework of Appropriate Means of Dispute Resolution (MASC)
- Injury stabilisation and its impact on the suspension of limitation expiry periods and the interruption of the limitation period.
- The current state of Supreme Court case law.
- Practical implications for litigation strategy and the management of evidence in civil proceedings.
- Q session and discussion with attendees.
The conference will be opened by CRITERIA Médica and closed by Dr Rosa Romay, the company’s Medical Director, and will conclude with a cocktail reception to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences among attendees.
